Death System Empty Death System

This might be a bit complicated to code {Not too sure} but from what I've seen, Terra's a pretty good coder so I'm sure he could figure it out.

Say I'm Bob and I go off and make a few friends. There's an option (or tab, or something) called Relations. I can set people to various things - it starts off as stranger. You can set people to things like acquaintance, classmate, and other basic things - some, however, provide pros, or cons. Thing's like setting someone as a friend requires the other person to accept (and it would give the relation for both of you) the same thing going for rival. What comes out of this, you ask? When sparring a rival, you can last longer; you want to fight harder, to beat him, or her. This also allows family relation (mom, dad, cousin, friend, brother) which could be manually set (Though a cool addition would be if canon clans started as cousin.) If you see a friend get knocked out by an opponent, then you get enraged and get a small bonus (Which would also work for things like unlocking special jutsus, or Bijuu power). But how does this fit into a -death- system?

If I'm Bob and I'm sparring with Keith, and I have him set to friend, at 10 percent health he'll get knocked out. At that point, using the attack verb on him won't work anymore - he's my friend, I have no reason to hurt him anymore. If you're a rival with someone, however, or an enemy, you won't get knocked out until say, five percent health. Now, once they're knocked out, you can't hurt them anymore - unless, they're set as a hostile type of thing (cliche but Hostile, or Enemy, Foe, etc.)

At 0 percent health they'll enter a critical state. Unlike normal knock out, which might be say, 1 minute in real time to get up, in critical you won't be able to stand for five to ten minutes. At this point in time, your character is down and hard, and he'll need to get medical treatment icly. The main reason for this, is if your enemy is planning on killing you, they can now type up the RP without having you stand up. At this point, you're not going to hop to your feet and run away - someone better save you, or you're done for. Critical statewise may or (depending on Terra's opinion) however, when you attack someone here, you get the option of killing him. PROVIDED you use a valid RP, you can now kill the person.

So now, because someone that had you set as some sort of hostile killed you, you're dead in some sort of after life. This idea is a bit seperate from my other one, and not as important - just gives people something to do.

Once your dead, you can talk to a NPC and get reincarnated. Depending on your cert level you can either get nothing {If you have a negative cert level which I assume will be given to notoriously bad roleplayers}, a 2 percent bonus for no cert level, 5 for 1, 10 for 2. I'm not quite sure how many levels there are - in Old Finale they only had cert 1 and 2, so this game might be different, and it could be rearranged to fit the scale. Basicly, it would bring you to the character creation screen, and you'd go through it again while retaining part of your stats. You wouldn't hold inventory, jutsus, or any of that.

Or you can sit around. There could be silly mockery chess games or something, and maybe a way (perhaps a strength requirement or something) to observe people still alive. If your some powerful evil warlord with minions planning on reviving you, this way you're not forced to reincarnate- it's not going to be fun being dead, and you probably shouldn't be allowed to train or anything, but at least it's not like you're stuck on an island.

Cheers, just posted this as it's easier then typing it up in MSN. Comments are fine, criticism is better.

Perhaps if there is a war between nations, the villagers would automatically be set to hostile toward each other, as well as a non hostile, or friendly nation, the villagers would be set to neutral. And if someone goes missing, they are automatically set to hostile to everyone, but an enemy village.
